If The Palms is sold out or you want a different vibe, the wider metro is about 15 minutes east: Flix Brewhouse in Des Moines pairs first-run movies with a full menu and house beer, and there are more multiplexes around the West Des Moines and Jordan Creek area. In town, though, The Palms is the theater.
